I’m Denise. I live in a little house snuggled in a small mountain town about 20 mins outside Asheville, NC with my hard working hubby and two lively little girls.
I’m a just an ordinary girl, who loves the simple things in life. A little about me and who I am. I gave my life to Christ 8 years ago and while I wish I could say I never looked back, that’s not true. I’ve walked through some really ugly/hard places, there’s been times where I have felt I was only holding on by a thread. I started this blog to share my life, my struggles, and anything that God lays on my heart. I earnestly long to become completely consumed by His word, because that’s how we come to know Jesus more and more.
My heart’s desire is simple; to share my testimony in all humility and just my life in general. To try and display true happiness and joy doesn’t come from people, things, or anything this world has to offer and if I boast in anything, let it be Jesus. I want to help you fall in love with the life Christ gave YOU to live, to slow down and enjoy the little things. I write about scripture, adventures, fun finds, and a little bit of life all while imperfectly growing in grace alongside you. Dedicating this all to the glory of God, because I am nothing without Him. I believe God lets us walk through dry and desert places, so that one day we can stretch forth our hands and help others along the way (Phil 2:1). But He also brings us the greatest peace and contentment, that is so unworldly it could only come from Heaven. I might not have much, but what I do have I’ll share with you here. At The Humbling Bee, come as you are, please. The truth is no one is perfect, and thank goodness because there would be no need for His wonderful grace. I pray that I can encourage, make you laugh, feel cared for, and be genuinely real with y’all; so let’s endeavor with laughter, tears, and a whole lot of support in this adventure called life.
